Brentwood School shines out as a beacon of excellence. Academically, we sit comfortably alongside the best day and boarding schools in the country, and we enjoy an unparalleled local reputation.

Our pupils are happy individuals who thrive on the high standards which are expected of them. They benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, set in the heart of Brentwood in Essex, and are surrounded by 75 acres of green playing fields and gardens. Our close proximity to London is especially helpful for international families looking to place their children in a safe UK location but within easy reach of the Capital.

To quote our latest ISI Inspectorate report (2013) our "pupils emerge as intellectually curious, resilient and enterprising life-long learners."

We offer full and weekly boarding for 11 to 18 year olds in comfortable houses where experienced husband and wife teams ensure the best possible care for all the boarders.

"Boarders have an excellent level of personal development. They are erudite and open, relating to fellow boarders and to adults with an easy confidence. A wide range of nationalities is represented within the houses and the tolerance and understanding exhibited by boarders for one another is outstanding," ISI Inspection report, 2013

We celebrate a 460-year history and take our heritage seriously. We are a Christian School and our pupils are expected to have self-respect, to exhibit pride in their appearance and embrace values such as courtesy, consideration for others, kindness, looking after each other, honour, courage, sportsmanship, duty and selflessness. Our vast and exciting co-curricular programme enjoys national prominence.

Our pupils achieve excellent academic standards that rank among some of the best in the country and consistent high grades are achieved by all pupils. They work exceptionally hard and are supported by highly professional and inspiring teachers who offer dedicated Oxbridge mentoring. 65% of offers are from Russell Group universities.

Compared to some other UK schools, we accept a broad range of ability into our IB Diploma Programme. We are inclusive - if you are accepted into the School, then you can join our DP.

In 2016, we celebrated our best ever IB Diploma results placing us within the top 15 IB Schools in the country and among the best in the world. A quarter of our cohort achieved 40 points or more, one IB Diploma student achieved a world-class 44 points, putting him in the top 0.9% of students globally according to the official IB website (ibo.org), and securing his place to study Japanese at Cambridge University.

Taking into account all the results for the 2016 cohort, the School's average point score was 37, which is equivalent to an AAA at A Level, and maintains the School's impressive three-year average point score of 36 points.

A flourishing Old Brentwoods community keeps thousands of alumni connected across the globe.
