Villiers School is one of only four schools in Ireland offering the IB Diploma Programme, and is the only boarding school in Ireland offering students the choice between Irish Leaving Certificate curriculum and the IBDP. Villiers believes in a shared IB Schools philosophy: a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education for all its students.

Academic excellence is a process of both formal and informal education, which traverses all programmes at Villiers School. It is intended that Villiers students will see education, in its wider context, as a limitless and unending process to be enjoyed for a lifetime. Average DP results at Villiers are consistent with global DP average results. Recent DP Graduates have taken up university places in a variety of fields of study, in Ireland, the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Belgium and Malta.

Villiers School is fortunate to have growing numbers of students joining our DP class from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences, all of which adds to the intrinsic diversity that we value within our school community. Villiers School strives to foster a safe and inclusive culture with equality at its heart so that diversity can flourish. We embrace our diversity as a strength, and we work with sincerity to enable all in our community to grow and flourish equally. International mindedness is embedded within our school, and we currently have forty five nationalities represented in the school. This growth has allowed us to continue to expand our diploma programme offerings, with new subjects being added each year.

Management and staff at Villiers School embrace and maintain the traditional values of the school, which has more than 200 years of history, and balance them with modern, state of the art educational facilities, developing an environment that engenders growth on an academic, cultural, and social level. Villiers offers both day and boarding options. We are home to approximately 165 boarders, and 435 day students.

The essence of Villiers is our inclusive family-based community. We are wholeheartedly committed to providing a safe, caring, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Villiers is an environment where both individuality and community mindedness can flourish, and every student can achieve their full potential.
