Beijing National Day School (BNDS) is a public, co-educational day school founded in 1952, providing superior education for China's high achieving youth. Facilities and Curriculum

BNDS is located 12-kilometres directly west of Tiananmen Square in the multicultural city of Beijing. The school's vibrant, modern, and technologically integrated facilities reflect its goal of providing students with the best learning environment. The campus is extensive (over 156,000 square metres), boasting numerous classroom buildings, arts centres, libraries, gymnasiums, science centers, and sports fields. The school-wide campus intranet connects more than 1,100 computers, and 116 classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, printers, and multi-media resources connected to the internet. Additionally, the science and technology building has modern labs for mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.

BNDS offers four different curricula: Chinese National Curriculum, A- Level, AP, and IB Diploma Programme. Additionally, BNDS offers students a wide range of extra-/co-curricular activities including advertising, animation, automobile design, debate, economics, environmental studies, equestrian, fashion design, fencing, foreign languages, skiing, and student government.

Moreover, 30 field-research courses, 280 clubs and organizations are part of the daily life of IB Diploma students at BNDS.


BNDS teachers and administrators are highly experienced and qualified professionals who are committed to the learning and development of each student. BNDS has more than 460 educators most of whom hold advanced degrees in their respective fields from prestigious universities in China and abroad.
