The founding of Brains International Schools was an innovative and challenging educational project started in Madrid in 1979. Three decades have since passed; during which time, Brains Schools have earned a reputation for excellence in bilingual education.
Brains International School offers a fully international Diploma Programme for both Spanish and international students alike. We pride ourselves on our uniquely diverse range of subject-language combinations, which we are able to offer from our multi-lingual teaching team from all over the world.
Taking full advantage of Spanish and English as official IB languages, students may choose to study subjects in either of these two languages, allowing truly bilingual programmes to be achieved through all of the six subject areas which make up the Diploma Programme.
At Brains we appreciate and value the distinct backgrounds and interests of our students, and we aim to provide them with the appropriate study programmes for the futures which they may be seeking. Accordingly, we strive to provide a wide choice of subjects at both standard and high level, enabling students to hand pick the diploma that best suits them.
The Diploma Programme is currently taught at our Madrid campus, which is situated in the northern part of the city within easy reach from all areas of Madrid by our school bus service or local transport. We offer students an excellent range of academic and technological facilities at this site, in addition to outstanding sporting and extra curricula opportunities, which fully support the educational service we aim to provide at Brains International School.
We are proud to see our IBDP class doubling in student numbers this year, and we are happy to be offering these students an even wider range of subjects than ever before. Sports, Exercise and Health Science has been met enthusiastically by both students and teachers alike, as has our increased offer in group 2 subjects, which now include Spanish B and Latin amongst the five available on our Brains International Baccalaureate Programme.
