At the British International School Hanoi, we are a caring community that enables children to realize their academic and personal potential in a dynamic and challenging learning environment which values enquiry, perseverance and reflection. Our students act with integrity and treat one another with respect, learning together as responsible global citizens.

BIS Hanoi is a state of the art, purpose-built school whose campus boasts exceptional learning facilities and includes a dedicated Early Years Centre, a large library, a theatre, an auditorium, an indoor 25-meter swimming pool, a sports hall, as well as artificial turf playing fields. The school has specialist suites for Science, Music, ICT, Art and Drama.

Building on the success of its sister school in Ho Chi Minh City, the British International School opened doors in Hanoi in 2012 and in the short time since, has established itself as one of the premier international schools in Vietnam's vibrant capital city. The British International School Hanoi is a selective, independent and co-educational day school, providing a British-style education for an international student body aged between 2 and 18 years old. Students at BIS Hanoi follow the English National Curriculum from the Early Years Foundation Stage through Key Stage 3, supplemented by IPC - the International Primary Curriculum.

The IGCSE qualification is available to students in Key Stage 4 through Cambridge Assessment International Education.

The school became an IB World School in January 2016 and began offering the IB Diploma Programme from August 2016. School-wide curriculum alignment builds toward Key Stage 5 where over 20 IB subjects are offered. A rigorous academic program is supplemented by a wide variety of available CAS experiences. In the academic year 2017-18, BIS Hanoi had 34 DP candidates who achieved an overall Diploma average of 32.3 points, with the highest grade achieved of 44 points.

Students at BIS Hanoi can participate in the globally-renowned Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, the world's leading youth achievement award. In the summer of 2017, four DP candidates at BIS Hanoi became the first in Vietnam to complete the Gold Award, with an expedition in the highlands of South Korea.

In 2015, BIS Hanoi was granted membership of FOBISIA - the Federation of British International Schools in Asia, while in 2017 the school became a fully accredited member of CIS - the Council of International Schools as well as ACS WASC - the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
