Colegio Internacional de México provides an extremely positive experience for our families through the well-being, happiness and personalized attention of our students. We are a secular, bilingual and co-educational private school, founded in 2007. Our educational methodology is based on constructing meaningful, concept-based learning, linked to technology. Our programs fulfill the requirements of the Mexican Secretary of Public Education and those of the National University for high-school. At Colegio Internacional de México we offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and we are future candidates for the Diploma Programme.
At "Inter", as we are fondly known, we are interested in the development of social abilities through the teaching of values: responsibility, respect, and honesty. We know each of our students and provide them personal attention to identify their strengths and enhance them. We are committed to developing happy and balanced students, capable of creating a better and peaceful world through the harmony of both the academic and human development of each student and teacher, to create an intimate community.
Spanish is the native language of the majority of our students. The English language is taught since Preschool the same amount of hours as Spanish, and we are also a preparation center for Cambridge University certifications, which our students obtain since they are 8 years old. We also offer the acquisition of a third language starting the first year of the Middle Years Programme. Students may choose Chinese, French or German and we offer certifications from the Confucius Institute, the French Alliance in Mexico, and the Goethe Institute.
Our Syllabus is enriched with special subjects like chess, stage, robotics, music, arts, assertiveness, and emotional intelligence. We encourage our students to develop social intelligence to solve their problems through reflection and self-regulation, supported by our Mindfulness Program.
Our after-school Program for PYP begins with Study Hall, where our students do their homework and clarify any doubts, accompanied by each grade-teacher. For MYP, we have advisory sessions for each subject. After this, our students can practice sports like soccer, basketball, tennis, karate, yoga or develop their artistic skills in classes like: art in paper, play and cook, clay-molding, dance, and play-acting.
