At Beau Soleil, we believe it’s what you do that counts

Our educational philosophy encourages students to become responsible and ambitious world citizens through the challenging and inspirational range of activities offered each day both inside and outside of the classroom setting.

Founded in 1910, we welcome students from more than 55 different nationalities, a melting pot of cultures that supports the IB philosophy of internationalism and global mindset. With educational pathways in both English and French for boys and girls aged 11-18 years, at IB level, our students are able to pursue their studies in either language or a combination of the two.

Outstanding academic results are ensured by our passionate teaching staff, who inspire and support students to achieve to their highest potential. With a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 4 we are able to offer a personalised approach to learning and a diverse range of educational experiences. Coaching and mentoring by individual tutors, develops in our students a growth mindset and the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Our dedicated college counsellor and mentoring programme supports our graduates to enter many of the world’s leading universities.

Exciting experiences both inside and outside of the classroom — from extended curriculum days, to educational trips across the world, full-school challenges and our winter ski programme — help our students to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the world around them and to develop skills including team work, collaboration and resilience.

Outdoor education is an important element in an education at Beau Soleil and our multi-day expeditions challenge our students to go beyond what they believe is possible. This sense of effort is translated back to the classroom and their daily lives with an appreciation of what they can achieve with grit and determination.

The spectacular school campus, located in a beautiful and safe alpine location, gives access to an enviable lifestyle. Blending tradition with modernity, the campus offers facilities of the highest quality and inspiring views across the Swiss Alps.

A full boarding school with a capacity of 250 students, our boarders experience the ideal balance of warmth, care and discipline, encouraging in them a sense of independence. Our home from home boarding philosophy promotes the creation of lifelong friendships based on a common set of values: responsibility, respect, ambition and determination.
