Collège Champittet is a world-renowned Swiss School with a long tradition of being "open to the world".
Founded in 1903 the school is embedded in the cultural and academic fabric of the city of Lausanne. The school is not only part of the local community but has a real sense of community itself. Students are nurtured in a caring and supportive environment by a full range of highly qualified and experienced pastoral and academic staff.
The ethos of Champittet is perfectly matched to the ethos of the International Baccalaureate.
The IB's core aims are to promote internationalism and peace along with a broad and challenging academic curriculum. Champittet has a long and rich Swiss pedagogical tradition based on an ambition to link to the world. The IB at Collège Champittet has the trademark Swiss quality with a global mindset.
Champittet has one of the most amazing campus locations in the world, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Students can even choose to live at school and enjoy the camaraderie and activities that come with it.
Collège Champittet is part of the global Nord Anglia Education group. This provides our students with amazing opportunities in music thanks to the partnership with Juilliard and in science projects with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). They can also take part in sports tournaments against students from all over the world and engage in Humanitarian missions in Africa and Asia.
Students also have access to the online Global Campus. This amazing resource allows students from across the Nord Anglia group from Shanghai, to Chicago, via Dubai - to collaborate on projects and competitions all year round. Competitions include debates, photography and arts and collaboration can be centred around subjects, courses and expeditions. Collège Champittet is a truly international place to study with students from all over the world.
Multilingualism is embedded through the school and with that the advantages it brings our students for their academic and cultural development.
Our Pre-IB and IB classes are kept small and as a result we can offer our students individual attention and care not afforded by large classes. Knowing our students thoroughly as individuals is essential for us to help provide the specific support our students need to succeed. That support includes a dedicated Dean, experienced tutors and homeroom teachers. We understand the need for a holistic approach for our young people to succeed.
Coming to Champittet is more than just starting a school - it is joining a community.
Here at Collège Champittet we believe that being traditional is a strength. Values such as politeness, respect and understanding of others are central to the development of the whole child that has been the hallmark of a Champittet education through the years.
