Honoring the Individual, Embracing the World
Mission: Eagle Hill School educates students identified with learning (dis)abilities by providing an intimate and encouraging community that honors the individual, values learning diversity, and cultivates international mindedness.
Eagle Hill School provides an exceptional college–preparatory education for students in grades 8-12 identified as learning disabled. Eagle Hill School believes in learning diversity, and the success of our students follows from our deep commitment to the idea that difference is the norm - that each student is best understood as unique, rather than a case of some disability. Therefore, every curricular decision follows from our ability to honor the individual. We strive to understand each student's constellation of talents, challenges, interests, hopes, and fears - and then to customize each student's Eagle Hill experience.
IB with Support
The approach of knowing each student and honoring the individual guides the IB experience at Eagle Hill. Imagine IB in a classroom of 6-8 students, led by teachers who are both passionate in their discipline and highly trained in differentiated instruction. In this setting, students can reach their full potential, whether in our IB program or our traditional American Diploma program.
With 96% of our graduates matriculating to four-year colleges, all EHS students benefit from uncompromising standards of excellence, within a school culture built around individual needs. In this environment, promising young minds reach and soar, preparing for college and for life. Folding IB into the already rich array of opportunities afforded all students at Eagle Hill, reflects our commitment to providing students with possibilities they may never have imagined possible.
In addition to the vibrant classroom experience, Eagle Hill offers a multitude of extracurriculars in athletics, clubs, community service, and leadership. These endeavors allow students to develop time management skills, responsibility for learning, and a collaborative work ethic.
Eagle Hill School's 200 acre campus is located in the picturesque town of Hardwick, Massachusetts. Located 60 miles west of Boston and 30 miles northeast of Springfield.
