Located in the heart of Veneto region, few kilometers away from Venice, a dynamic, forward-looking region, with extraordinary historical and cultural riches. Gentium Schola Opitergium (GSO) hosts students aged 14-18 from all around the world and offers an international boarding and day school, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment, seven days a week - on a campus with green areas, sport facilities, laboratories and recreation spaces.

During their time at GSO, students not only have the opportunity to live in Italy, but to experience some of its deepest local traditions through mosaic, music, soccer, cooking and baking laboratories.

GSO boarding facilities are located in the safe environment of the ancient Brandolini campus and its park.

The residences have a natural family atmosphere, providing both privacy and an ideal environment for sharing and forming/developing long-lasting friendships in a caring and creative community.

The adults responsible for the boarding students' well-being are carefully selected out of their experience, commitment to the overall mission of the school and ability to engage students in being active contributors of the ethos and culture of residential life.

At the boarding school, students have easy access to supportive teachers and mentors. At the same time, by living away from home, they develop maturity, a sense of responsibility and independence.

Academic pursuits, activities and boarding life complement each other seamlessly, with every student able to contribute to their own success.

We aspire to a world in which education is a generative agent of change, through the discovery of personal talents and the realisation of one’s full potential - with the aim of using that potential for a greater good.

GSO provides young people with educational and social opportunities that foster discovery, development, expansion and sharing of their personal talents.

Each student is at the heart of our education, in the same way as every student is at the very center of International Baccalaureate pedagogy. Our Mission stresses discovery, development, expansion and sharing of students' personal talents: motivation, relationships and activities are the cornerstones of our education.
