Curriculum

We here at Glendale International School-PYP thrive on inquiry and learning. Glendale Group of schools have been pioneers in creating intelligent and child centric pedagogy. This pedagogy is a culmination of years of research, learning and collaboration. Hence, Multiple intelligences are a huge part of our PYP curriculum and differentiation within the homeroom is a norm. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The Leader in me are part of the six themes of PYP learning. Brain Compatible learning is understood, practiced and modelled in our school.

On a regular day in school you will see the children busy having fun. Art, Music, PE, Craft, Pottery, Drama, Dance, Library all contribute to the academics and children come back enthused about various aspects of their learning. Our inquiry units are devised in such a way that collaboration and communication become necessities and learning spirals horizontally and vertically. Our Objective is too provide enriching, empowering and exploratory experiences for the harmonious growth of the children's mind and body. Nurturing creativity through exposure to culture and arts and inculcate a scientific temperament and a spirit of inquiry with critical thinking skills fosters an attitude of "lifelong learning" and forges real life connections with curriculum. We endeavor to create an atmosphere of mutual respect, synergy and open mindedness, so that children understand that they are not just part of a family or country but of a global community.
