Gresham's School, enviably located between the award-winning coast and countryside of north Norfolk, offers an outstanding, all-round education which combines great tradition with innovation. The school is within easy access of the city of Norwich with its national and international transport links. Gresham's is an All Steinway School and in 2017 opened a new state-of-the-art Music school.
Gresham's has a tradition of producing outstanding achievers in a wide variety of fields. Old Greshamians have been inspiring others for generations from composer Sir Benjamin Britten, poet W.H. Auden, founder of the Dyson Company, Sir James Dyson, international rugby players Tom and Ben Youngs and BAFTA and Golden Globe award winning actor Olivia Colman.
In 2016, Gresham's was awarded an 'Excellent' rating in all nine categories following an Independent Schools Inspectorate visit which is testament to its progressive academic curriculum, high quality teaching and excellent pastoral care.
There are 480 students at the Senior School. In Year 11 (16 years), students sit IGCSE and GCSE exams and later in Year 12 students have the option to choose between the IB Diploma Programme or A levels.
Seven boarding houses provide a friendly, home-from-home environment where all year groups support each other. Each house provides a framework for school life and day pupils and boarders play a full and active role in these Houses supported by our dedicated and caring team of house staff.
We are proud of our pupils who leave us as enthusiastic, happy, confident and capable young adults ready to make a real difference in the communities in which they live.
The school has two Open Mornings, one in the autumn and one in the summer term, alternatively you can book an individual visit by contacting our Admissions Team.
