Founded in 1965, the International School of Havana, Cuba has been Cuba's leading international school for over 50 years. It provides a warm, nurturing environment for around 330 students from Early Years to Grade 12. The student body is made up of the children of diplomatic and expatriate business families and with over 50 different nationalities, we are hugely proud of our cultural diversity and at ISH, our mission of Learning to Make a Difference impacts everything we do.

The teaching body at ISH is comprised of almost 70 expatriate and Cuban teachers, working together to bring a variety of different backgrounds, skills and methods to the classroom. Our school's curriculum is adapted to serve a dynamic international student body with diverse needs. In the Lower School, students follow the International Primary Curriculum; in the Secondary School, students prepare for CIE Checkpoint examinations in Grade 8, and then follow the Cambridge IGCSE program in Grades 9 and 10. In Grade 11 and Grade 12, the ISH Diploma Programme runs parallel with the IB DP, allowing flexibility for students with different aims, abilities and educational experiences.

Graduates from ISH attend universities around the globe. In the past five years, we have sent students to a wide range of prestigious universities from McGill University in Canada, to New York University in the United States, to University College London in the UK, to Sciences Po in France and Erasmus University in the Netherlands. We encourage our students to aim high and provide pathways that will open as many doors as possible for them.

ISH is split over two campuses, one hosting our Early Years to Grade 8 students and the other a beautiful and recently-opened High School. Enrolment is open throughout the year and we always welcome enquiries and visits from prospective families.
