Students today need to engage with and succeed in a complex world. At the International School of Paris, students learn to embrace complexity and develop the essential skills and inquiring minds to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

ISP is an independent, non-profit, coeducational school located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Founded in 1964, ISP is the only school in France authorized to deliver the three academic programs of the International Baccalaureate (IB) from Nursery through Grade 12.

What distinguishes ISP from other schools is its ambitious vision - "Educating for Complexity" - coupled with its truly international character and strong community. The student body represents 60 nationalities and mother tongues. Our school culture is welcoming, open-minded and supportive.

The language of instruction is English, and we provide substantial support for beginners in English. ISP also supports approximately 20 other languages through our strong mother tongue program. Field trips and educational travel are an integral part of the curriculum, and a broad extended program includes art, music, drama, sports, technology, publications and public speaking at all levels.

At ISP, we believe that the natural counterpoint to an inquiry-based curriculum is a research-led organisation, and we run an active program of research and innovation. As a part of that, our teachers work with students, parents and support staff to conduct approximately a dozen 'action research' projects every year, each with a specific goal to produce a positive impact on student learning outcomes. These projects are celebrated at our annual research conference held in October.

The Primary School resides in two period buildings joined by a playground near the Jardin du Ranelagh. Students in Nursery through Grade 5 (ages 3-10) follow the IB Primary Years Programme.

The Secondary School offers the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes to students in Grades 6 through 12 (ages 11-18), at a campus of three buildings near the Eiffel Tower. Students can earn both the IB Diploma and a high school diploma. Results are consistently above the world average, and graduates attend leading universities worldwide.

In September 2018, ISP will expand into a third city-center campus that will house our Grades 6 through 9 and incorporate whole-school facilities including a research center; media, art and music studios; and performance and assembly spaces.
