Since its establishment by Mr. Bedrettin Dalan in ISTEK Foundation has been raising modern and entrepreneurial generations in line with Atatürk's principles and revolutions. Today, our foundation, which has a chain of education from Kindergarten to University, is prominent in the future of our country with 22 Kindergartens, 22 Primary Schools, 22 Middle Schools, 17 Anatolian High Schools, 17 Science High Schools, and Yeditepe University.
ISTEK Kasgarli Mahmut Schools started operating in the academic year of 1987 - 1988. Our school was named after one of our Turkish seniors, Kasgarli Mahmut, who was known as the first Turkish philologist. On our campus, students study from kindergarten to the last year of high school.
ISTEK Kasgarli Mahmut Campus is located in Sultangazi on a large area of 9360 square meters. Our school facilities include 320 seat conference hall, library, indoor sports complex, swimming pool, music and art workshops, music recording studio, 4 science and computer laboratories, maker workshop, large dining hall, outdoor sports areas, activity halls, playgrounds and technologically equipped classrooms that allow our students to develop academic and social skills.
Our school, which was accepted to apply PYP with Candidate School status in April 2016, received a Consultancy Visit by IB in April 2017. In February 2020, IB carried out a Verification Visit and both ISTEK Kasgarli Mahmut Kindergarten and ISTEK Kasgarli Mahmut Primary School were authorized to apply PYP in June 2020. Our school is now honoured with the status of IB World School.
We believe that learning different languages is the key to becoming a global citizen. For this reason, we offer our students an intensive English language education starting from the age of 4. Our students receive bilingual education starting from the first day of their school life. In the second grade, they choose between German and Spanish languages and receive their second language education until they graduate.
We aim to create experiences that will make our students to be more sophisticated, organized, mature, and socially responsible. In addition to our daily flow, our students participate in different club activities in science, arts, and sports in line with their skills and interests. Supported by our enriched curriculum, our students successfully represent our school in national and international organizations.
