Surely there can be no better preparation for life in our complex, globalised society than an education at a good international school? Kampala International School, Uganda (KISU) is such a school. The Council of International Schools inspection team commended a "clear commitment to internationalism and interculturalism". Likewise, the International Baccalaureate Organization described "a learning environment based on understanding and respect".

KISU is blessed with a truly international student population: over 80% of the student body is made up of students from some 57 different nations. The school is centrally located in the attractive and cosmopolitan east African city of Kampala, where it occupies a beautifully landscaped campus and is in its third decade of offering high-quality international education to the community.

KISU boasts a world-class learning environment; it is equipped with four science labs, three computer labs, three music practice rooms, four performance areas, an indoor gym, a 25m eight-lane competition pool and five acres of lush, green playing fields.

KISU recruits and invests in the further professional development of teachers from all over the world; at the last count they shared more than 100 years of IB teaching experience between them. Small class sizes and the support of numerous highly qualified Teaching Assistants ensure that teachers have capacity to spend high quality time with individual students.

Academic success is, of course, important. Today's young people enter a truly global marketplace where competition is fierce and the school does everything it can to ensure its students have the best chance of succeeding with results at IB Diploma consistently outstripping world averages.
