Knole Academy is an all-ability academy situated in the beautiful and desirable area of Sevenoaks in Kent. Close to London and with excellent connections to Europe, it enjoys the benefits of both, with cultural and educational excursions to the capital, the continent and beyond.

At the core of Knole is aspiration and high expectations for every child, regardless of background or ability. As a result, the taught curriculum is both broad and balanced, ensuring all pupils are engaged and enthused. All pupils receive high quality teaching that is equally as ambitious for the grammar stream as it is for the wider student body. In order for every child to achieve his or her potential the learning environment generated is calm, safe and inclusive.

Knole pupils benefit from state of the art facilities that offer a vast range of co and extra-curricular opportunities. The academy's Expressive Arts status drives the many school performances, concerts, productions, dance shows and exhibitions; in sport, the facilities and staff provide an unrivalled range of activities and the school has large cohorts of successful Duke of Edinburgh participants as well as an expanding Combined Cadet Force, one of the few in a state school.

The sixth form is excellent, providing pupils with the opportunity to study academic IB diplomas and career related studies through the IBCP. All pupils undertake the National Citizen Service in year 12 as part of the service learning element of the core programme. IBCP students undertake to learn Italian as their language development, having already had the opportunity to study French and Spanish to GCSE level.

The academy is justly proud that the outcome of such a well-structured curriculum and the diverse opportunities outside the classroom is global citizens who are:

  • Knowledgeable
  • Nurturing
  • Open minded
  • Locally and globally focussed
  • Excellence driven.
