Kuwait Bilingual School (KBS) was established in September 1998 in Al Jahra City, Kuwait. Its foundation was a landmark in educational provision in the district, being the first school in the area to offer a coeducational, bilingual, private school education for people of the city.

The school aims to provide quality programs (Pre-K to 12) that foster ethical and moral values, positive attitudes, commitment to local and global issues and a life-long pursuit for learning. We hope that "our students of today will become the leaders of tomorrow," which is our school motto.

Whilst the majority of our students are Kuwaiti, the school is proud of the fact that our fully qualified staff comes from many countries, spanning most of the world's continents. This brings a rich, cultural diversity and wide range of experience to the school.

In June 2013, we were authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School at the primary level and we are currently a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme. KBS received accreditation with the Middle States Association of America in the summer of 2016.

The school has recently moved to a brand new campus, KBS2, which has given us the opportunity to enhance our present programmes, particularly in the areas of performing arts and sport. The facilities are also open to the wider community after school hours and at weekends, with extra curricular programmes and sports activities available for students, parents and the public.

In September 2016, KBS opened a second school housed in the old campus, KBS1. This is a Middle School for Girls. The educational programmes are the same, but this ensures that families whose views are conservative are also catered for. Our Pre-KG department is also housed in KBS1.
