La Côte International School welcomes over 330 students aged 2 to 18 to its state-of-the-art campus located amongst the apple orchards and vineyards of the La Côte region in French-speaking Switzerland. What sets us apart from other schools is our High Quality Learning approach, which combines a first class curriculum, comprising our IB Diploma programme and a new Maturité suisse - filière bilingue for students aged 10 to 12, with a wide range of co-curricular activities that ensure our students are prepared not just for academic excellence, but are also able to develop an inquiring mind, a thirst for learning and social confidence.
As part of the Nord Anglia Education group, La Côte International School is able to offer a truly unique international experience to its students, working in collaboration with the Juilliard School in New York, UNICEF and MIT, thanks to a new partnership on core STEAM subjects launching in the spring of 2018. Your child will collaborate and compete with students from other Nord Anglia Education schools worldwide through our Global Campus initiatives, which is made up of online interactions, visits and citizenship expeditions to Tanzania, where over 300 Nord Anglia Education students work together and significantly contribute to the communities of the Kitefu and Imbaseni. Our students are also encouraged to play an active role in the local Swiss community through excursions, activities and CAS programmes.
Our Secondary students are supported in their personal and social development through a comprehensive Wellbeing and PSHE programme, which is firmly embedded in our curriculum. We also ensure that our students are supported in their application and admission to the world's leading universities.
Since celebrating its first cohort of IB Diploma students graduating in 2015, LCIS has seen 4 out of 10 of its IB graduates being offered a place at either a Russell group or a World Best university (as ranked by The Times Educational Supplement). This past academic year has been a very successful one as we celebrated our first Oxbridge admission to Claire College’s Maths and Physics department in Cambridge.
Our objective is to place each student at the centre of our educational focus and encourage all of our students to become life-long learners who are principled and empathetic, tolerant and sensitive members of the school and wider community as well as responsible, knowledgeable and adaptable citizens of the world.
