Les Ècoles Internationales Al-Kawthar (EIK) is the first private International Baccalaureate (IB) French school in Saudi Arabia. It was established in 2012. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) that includes the Petite Section (ages 3–5) to PP6 (ages 6–11). Teaching of all subjects is in the French language. EIK is now looking forward to obtaining authorization for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme at the Secondary level in both French and English.
Our international schools are licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia. The schools provide an enriching education in French, English and Arabic.
In 2018, AL-Kawthar International Schools (KIS) received accreditation from Cambridge Assessment International Education for Grade 1 to Grade 8 including the Cambridge Progression Tests and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint that assess learner achievement.
EIK is dedicated to empowering our learners with knowledge and ability to take responsibility to ensure lifelong learning. Our schools are committed to providing high quality-education for all students by ensuring a complete intellectual, physical, and aesthetic environment. We encourage social development through practicing international sensitivity so that our students can acquire important values that contribute to the development of the local and global community.
Our vision is to create a caring and open school culture that reflects a spirit of mutual understanding, intercultural respect and adaption to the needs and expectations of all members of the school community.
Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced with IB certification. The school ensures progressive development through continuous in school training and the implementation of advanced aspects of technology to facilitate learning.
Our students come from different countries and cultures. This multicultural diversity helps students appreciate their own culture and understand themselves in relation to their communities. We identify the needs of each student and ensure they receive the necessary support and encouragement to acquire the knowledge and skills to benefit independent learning.
The school campuses have a wide range of excellent facilities consisting of interactive and spacious classrooms, science labs, computer labs, art rooms, a library, playing areas, sport spaces, music rooms, theatre spaces and a cafeteria. A modern security system provides a safe environment for our students.
EIK supports various after-school activities that encourage student self-development.
