Meadowridge School exists as a point of departure for parents and students who seek more meaning from education; an unfettered education that has a greater impact on the whole individual and more relevance to the realities of the world.
Our school is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, accredited through multiple organizations. We celebrate teaching and learning through the most balanced, demanding, and international curriculum, and have built a culture which enables it: a community of families who believe that children learn best in a culture of conscious care, academic challenge, clear and high expectations, constant communication, intercultural understanding, collaboration with families, creative teaching, and open and inviting facilities. At Meadowridge, we live what we teach and model what we believe - and we do it together with our families.
Meadowridge is a school which values academic achievement, but one which also insists our children live well, live balanced lives, and flourish within a community. Students learn through inquiry, experience, and exploration, and they learn about themselves, our communities, and our world. Meadowridge develops young adults who, as leaders, understand that the way to excellence involves understanding and working with and for others, and who have developed the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be able to engage with complex issues in intercultural settings, with a foundation of fairness and just treatment of all.
Our school, from classroom to natural woodland, is the setting for this program. Just 45 minutes east of Vancouver, British Columbia, Meadowridge is located in beautiful Maple Ridge on a unique, pastoral 27-acre campus complete with gardens, greenhouses, a discovery forest, and stream for students across the continuum to engage and explore. Our 150,000+ square foot facility includes state-of-the-art science labs, a theatre, a design lab, an international-sized soccer pitch, and a newly completed nine-classroom complex.
Through our outstanding teaching, programs, and facilities, Meadowridge develops the confidence in students to not only meet the future, but also to create it. To discover more about Meadowridge visit us online at meadowridge.bc.ca/discover.
