About Nexus International School
Established in Putrajaya in 2008, Nexus International School is a member of the Taylor's Education Group, which encompasses some of the largest and most successful international schools in Malaysia and Singapore.
Nexus International School caters to students from pre-school level to year 13 and offers the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Current enrollment counts approximately 700 students from over 30 nationalities.
Nexus International School offers a stimulating learning environment, in which human respect and values are balanced against academic rigour, and where learners are encouraged to realise their potential and to respect their own unique worth as well as that of others.
Nexus is an internationally minded community which focuses on nurturing learners to become globally responsible and educated citizens. The Nexus Way provides a learning environment that is innovative, progressive, and grounded in trust, compassion, and respect. The Nexus Way consists of four elements - Relationships, Inclusion, Innovation, and Mindsets. Each of these elements form the foundation of our approach here.
Nexus has a reputation for innovative pedagogy and using the latest developments in educational thinking to support student learning. Nexus was proud to be recognised by Cambridge University as one of the most innovative schools worldwide in 2017.
Technology play a key role in this and is used to transform learning in the school. Nexus has received the Apple Distinguished School accreditation in recognition of the school as an exemplary learning environment for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence.
Our Nexus Boarding House provides boarding facilities for 10 to 18 years old. Opened in October 2011, the Nexus Boarding House is home to over 60 boarders from New Zealand, Malaysia, China, Australia, UK, Korea, India, Japan, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. We provide learners with a supportive community, a multicultural environment, and a balanced programme that aims to nurture independence and respect.
The IB Diploma at Nexus
At NISM, we take an immersive approach - one that is rigourous, warm and supportive. Gaining a Diploma at Nexus means becoming a valued member of our community. In all things, our Diploma learners take an active role. From developing their conceptual understanding across subjects, to serving their communities (both local and global). A wider range of subject choices is complemented by an extensive co-curricular programme which includes many opportunities for student leadership.
Our IB Team of staff focuses on meeting learners where they are and supporting them in going where they want to go.
