Saint Kentigern Middle and Senior Colleges are independent Presbyterian schools in New Zealand for boys and girls in Years 7-13 (ages 11-18). Students in the Middle College (Years 7-10) are taught in single-gender classes while in the Senior College, (Years 11-13) girls and boys learn together.
The College is located on 100 acres, bordering the Tamaki Estuary, 16km from the centre of Auckland, and is founded on strong Christian values, a focus on excellence in education and service to others.
Our sports facilities and coaches are among New Zealand's best and we enjoy success in regional and national competitions. We are deeply committed to performing arts. Drama students learn in dedicated spaces and perform in a purpose built performance venue. In addition, our separate music centre provides superb, soundproofed facilities for our choral and instrumental enthusiasts.
Bruce House, our specialist boarding facility with separate houses for boys and girls, is the place our boarders call home. Boarders are involved in every facet of college life and they develop lasting friendships and a strong sense of school spirit.
Our international students come from many countries to enjoy New Zealand's and Saint Kentigern's unique learning environment. All students attain internationally recognised New Zealand qualifications.
Our students receive the best pastoral care. A dedicated team of teachers and personal care specialists monitors the students' progress, socially, academically and emotionally, ensuring they thrive at school.
Language (ESOL) Support
International students who are already proficient in English join the full academic programme while students who require English language assistance join a programme to practice and develop both written and spoken English.
Academic success is expected of every student at Saint Kentigern Middle and Senior Colleges and we challenge our students to excel. An unparalleled range of subjects is taught in modern, specialist facilities. Senior students have a choice of qualification pathways. In the final two years of school, they can choose the New Zealand Qualifications Authority NCEA examinations or the International Baccalaureate programme. The College is a wireless campus and students work with their laptops and tablets to do collaborative class work, research and homework.
Tuition and boarding fees for each academic year are set in October. These are published on our website.
Overseas students at Saint Kentigern Middle and Senior Colleges require a designated 'caregiver' who will act on behalf of the parents while the students are enrolled with us.
