Savannah Primary School, established in 1940, is a Government public school with a student population of four hundred and seventy-six (476). It is the largest primary school located in the Eastern District of Grand Cayman and is one of the three IB schools in the Cayman Islands. The school delivers a dynamic curriculum which straddles that of the UK, USA and Caribbean. Our students are empowered by a team of teachers from around the world who utilize best practices.

SPS provides multimedia classrooms, fully equipped music room, a computer lab, a network system with easy access to the internet and a multimedia library. The school annually celebrates the success of our sporting activities: football, netball, basketball and cricket. Additionally, the students participate regularly in the National Children's Festival of the Art and Batabano, a cultural festival.

Spanish, as a second language, is taught to all students from Year 2 to 6. The academic success of our Year 6 students is a result of the engaging and inquiry-based practices employed by the teachers. The skills and attitudes garnered in the Primary Years allow students exiting SPS to experience a high level of success at the Secondary level. This is made true via the realization of our Mission and Vision.

Our students and staff care and respect each other. They are sustained by a host of SEN specialists, such as a Guidance Counselor, Speech and Language specialist, Occupational Therapy and an Educational psychologist. Our highly supportive and dynamic Parent Teacher Association contributes to the positive ethos of the school and the success of our students.

The mission of Savannah Primary School, in partnership with parents and other stakeholders, is to provide a dynamic multi-cultural learning environment dedicated to developing confident, tolerant and disciplined life-long learner who can attain their full potential and interact effectively in the global community.

The vision for our school is "Inspiring students to become global citizens and lifelong learners".
