Everything we do is based on supporting our students to become questioning and courageous individuals fit for the 21st century.
SEK International School Dublin is located in a stunning natural setting, where the landscape of the Irish countryside meets the Atlantic coast, between the cities of Bray and Greystones. The latter was named one of the best cities in the world to live as a family, and is only 30 km from Dublin. SEK-Dublin combines architectural tradition with cutting-edge technology, spanning over 250,000 m2 of grounds and boasting extensive green areas where our students can enjoy a diverse range of sports and outdoor activities, while enhancing their academic development.
SEK Dublin was the first school in Ireland authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to teach the Middle Years Programme (11-16 years) and the Diploma Programme (16-18 years), taught fully in English with optional languages, including German, French, Irish and Spanish.
SEK-Dublin opened its doors in 1981. The success of the school is based on several factors including: a multicultural team of highly trained teachers; the effective use of learning technologies; an individualised programme to cover the educational needs of each student; small class sizes; and an outstanding programme guaranteed by SEK schools' standards of excellence. Aware that education does not only take place in the classroom, as well as day students, we offer residential options with carefully selected local host families or in our on-campus high quality residential facilities, and diverse extracurricular and cultural activities. These aspects combine to nurture the holistic personal and academic development of our students.
SEK Dublin has the infrastructure, digital devices and skilled staff to enable the delivery of distance or blended learning depending on changing external scenarios, to which we are able to respond in a flexible and agile manner.
SEK-Dublin has started the process of accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
