Singapore International School (Hong Kong) or SISHK is known for our high quality holistic education, academic rigour and bilingual programme. Established in 1991 with the strong support of Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE), we nurture our students to be respectful and responsible world citizens with sound moral values, equipped with the skills to meet challenges of tomorrow. The school is guided by the Singapore education philosophy and offers a bilingual curriculum in English and Chinese (Putonghua) from kindergarten to pre-university levels.
Our students progress onto the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which provides them with a balanced, academically rigorous curriculum that develops the skills, abilities and work habits needed for success in university and future life challenges. All our IBDP students are assigned a mentor who is their main CAS supervisor that also provides pastoral support in their IBDP studies and university guidance.
Every year our IBDP students achieve commendable results in the IB examinations, scoring an average of 37 over the last three years. In addition, a third of each cohort has consistently scored more than 40 points enabling them to study at prestigious universities around the world such as Yale University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, National University of Singapore and The University of Hong Kong.
SISHK continues to create an environment where each and every student has ample opportunities to further develop their talents and leadership skills that will prepare them for life at university and beyond. Outside the classrooms, our staff and student organise and participate in various community outreach and awareness campaigns to be connected with the social issues surrounding the community. Examples of these activities are Model United Nation, Kids4Kids, and community work in Hong Kong and China.
