We are an outstanding school situated on the Eastern Seaboard for our global family of 2 - 18 year old children. We pride ourselves on offering a balanced education whilst achieving some of the highest academic results in Thailand. We are also the 1st and only school on the Eastern Seaboard to have been awarded ‘GOLD’ status twice from the Education Development Trust (EDT) and achieved outstanding in all areas. Nestling in spacious and beautiful surroundings of Green Valley, our campus is home to a community of around 450 students from over 35 nationalities, all of whom enjoy close, personalised attention from highly qualified teachers which is key to their success.
In Primary, we provide a stimulating, child-centred learning environment where students follow the framework of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) integrated with the principles of the English National Curriculum to provide the best of international learning. Teachers facilitate opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration through the inquiry process, setting high expectations and opportunities to work independently. In Secondary, students complete IGCSEs in Year 10 and 11 and we follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) in Years 12 and 13. We have found the IB DP challenges the students and provides an excellent preparation for top university courses around the world.
Over the past 10 years our IB Diploma students have achieved some exceptional results, with an average score for the past 5 years of 35 points and some students each year achieving 40+ points. One student recently achieved 45 points out of a possible maximum of 45 points (one of only 147 in the world).
Maintaining balance is key
At Green Valley we also emphasise the importance of our students being balanced as well as high achievers. Students are actively encouraged to develop themselves in all areas including sports, drama and music, being active in the wider community and pursuing their passions. The CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) component of the IB complements this perfectly and allows the students to develop in these areas.
Part of the Cognita Group of Schools
We are proud to be a Cognita school and as such we are part of a wider community of 70 schools who believe in 'an inspiring world of education' and we can liaise with colleagues across the world to support student liaison and interaction internationally.
