Stamford American's dedicated team of educators go above and beyond to ensure all students are included. Providing a supportive and inclusive academic environment, Stamford American is focused on helping each student succeed on the academic path that is right for them.
An international community celebrating diversity
Upholding Stamford American's reputation as a truly diverse community of over 70 nationalities, its international culture is well-supported by the World Language Program offering 3 of the world's most spoken languages - Mandarin, Spanish and English. With the aim of developing excellent communication in these languages, Stamford American offers the daily Mandarin, Spanish, Mandarin/English Bilingual or the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Program. There is also the Mother Tongue Program which is offered after school and parent-led, keeping their mother tongue roots back in Singapore. Cultural events are also widely celebrated in school such as the International Fiesta, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Christmas, to help students immerse and understand the other cultures well.
Dual Curriculum - International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses
The only school in Singapore to offer the best of both worlds - the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, students have multiple graduating pathways to choose from; each student graduates with a US High School Diploma alongside the opportunity to pursue the IB or AP Diploma. In addition to the over 40 IB courses, the AP courses are one-year university level courses for students who are willing to accept the challenge of a demanding academic curriculum. Administered by the U.S. based College board, Stamford American offers over 15 subject choices to students in Grades 10 to 12 towards university credits.
Centrally located - Easily Accessible by Trains and Buses
Easily accessible by public transport in Singapore, Stamford American has 2 world-class campuses centrally located in Singapore. The Early Learning Village which caters for students 2 months to 6 years, is located at Chuan Lane and is just 2.6km away from the Woodleigh Main Campus, which is for students 7 years to 18 years. Just 15 minutes away from Orchard Road, both campuses feature expansive teaching and learning facilities with sensorial learning at every turn.
