The International School Bangalore (TISB) was founded in 2000 and is one of India's most reputable, independent, selective, international boarding and day schools, set in 140 acres of stunning grounds on the outskirts of Bangalore, Asia's 'Silicon City' and India's 'Garden City'. Throughout its history the school has delivered consistently high academic standards in both IB and IGCSE. TISB is an authorized IB World School and is fully accredited by HMC, BSA, CIE and ISTA and offers a broad range of IB and IGCSE subject choices to its students.

The spirit of TISB is one of high energy and achievement and our students combine academic excellence and a deep love of learning with a wealth of co-curricular opportunities, to develop into exceptional individuals who believe that anything is possible. TISB students are encouraged to be independent in their learning and approach to life which is illustrated in their unique management and facilitation of 'Vivum', an annual two-day charitable event entirely overseen by Grade 12 students, and their success in academic and social-awareness activities such as 1M1B Future Leaders and the Model United Nations. In addition, students are encouraged and have the opportunity to be involved in numerous national and international sporting, theatrical and musical events and competitions.

The thriving boarding community at TISB is made up of three boarding houses, each one staffed by residential Houseparents. The boarding houses offer a home-from-home experience, with a balance of family life and academic support. Boarders are offered a variety of weekend activities ranging from sports matches, quiz nights and activity trips such as cycling, paintballing and archery to meals out and cinema trips.

TISB students are outward-looking, ambitious global thinking students who embrace opportunities and with the support of their teachers strive to be the best version of themselves.

It is our purpose to inspire and challenge every student to flourish and achieve their full potential, both now and in the future, and instill a passion for lifelong learning.
