The American International School Kuwait (AIS) is a private independent day school serving students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. AIS is an IB World School that is fully authorized for the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Our rigorous academic programme builds critical thinkers and inquirers in a nurturing educational environment.

The school has created intercultural learning by building bridges of understanding among diverse international students from around fifty-five countries across the world. This ethnic diversity builds resilient, empathetic, and competent leaders for the future.

The school has an outstanding extracurricular program that offers a wide variety of activities in sports, arts, music, and theatre. AIS students strive for balance and participate in a wide range of athletics and activities through our international activities conference, NESAC of which AIS is a full member. AIS also participates fully in KASAC, our local activities and athletics conference.

The well-designed learning space of our facilities and services contribute to the experience of students, educators, and community members. The school facility includes two gymnasia, several outdoor sports areas, music and theater spaces, strength training and aerobics rooms, as well as a 1200 seat auditorium. The walled campus includes over one hundred teaching spaces that surround two interior courts. Our Learning Commons offers a collaborative space for student inquiry, instructional coaching, and collaboration and houses a library with a large fiction, non-fiction, and Arabic collection.

Upon graduation, our students are extraordinarily well prepared for the academic requirements of university, and they proudly enter many of the world's most respected and top-rated universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
