Vision

We are an internationally recognized multi-campus kindergarten through university group, transforming education for learners in Japan and beyond.

Philosophy

We believe in empowering students to realize their full potential as global citizens, inspiring them to succeed and lead positive change in an ever-evolving world.

Our 5 Core Values

At Aoba, we lead by these core values, which we nurture in our students:

  • Global Leadership
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Effective Communication
  • Wise Risk-Taking
  • Effective Problem Solving

Learning at Aoba

As one of Tokyo's few fully authorized IB World Schools, Aoba embodies the core principles of the IB with inclusive, inquiry-based learning environments.

Recognized for our expertise, we have been commissioned by MEXT to lead the IB Consortium in promoting and expanding IB schools across Japan.

Additionally, we are proud to have been selected by the IBO to offer the Online IBDP to students across the Asia-Pacific region, providing access and flexibility for high school students residing outside of Tokyo.

What makes Aoba unique is our innovative, forward-thinking approach to education. From Kindergarten through Grade 12, we emphasize team-based, open-ended inquiry learning. Our multi-age, transdisciplinary model brings these programs to life, encouraging students to actively engage and take ownership of their learning.

At Aoba, students collaborate closely with teachers to co-design their educational experiences, fostering independence and responsibility. This approach helps develop the essential skills and dispositions outlined in our Core Values, empowering students to solve complex problems and create opportunities that inspire others. Our ultimate goal is too nurture students who not only address challenges but also drive positive change in the world.
