Located on a tranquil tree lined historic country estate, we provide a top quality, rich cultural learning environment, with focus on health and wellbeing.
The learning experience at Eerde IBS is consciously small-scale to ensure individual attention for all students. Our approach toward learning allows our students to discover their true potential and empowers them to develop personal leadership and life skills. We do so by inspiring academic excellence, stimulating inquiring minds and developing our students as active members in their community.
The educational staff at Eerde IBS is international and highly qualified. Our staff guides and encourages each student to recognise their own style of learning and apply strategies to improve their study skills. In addition to our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), we also offer a Pre IB class. The Pre IB class serves as a transition year prior to entering the IBDP, it is particularly well suited for students who wish to improve their English language skills before entering the IBDP or those students which are entering international education for the first time.
Complimenting our academic offer, Eerde IBS has a variety of extra curricular activities to enhance each students Eerde Experience. When school is out on weekday afternoons, students can participate in a range of sporting, cultural and social activities and discover their unique talents and interests.
Eerde's partnership with the Rijksmuseum offers students an Enriching Educational Experience, benefiting from the ongoing partnership through workshops, internships, exclusive exhibits and exchanges. This experience is especially beneficial for the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts students.
Eerde IBS offers both full and flexible boarding options. Our on-campus chef prepares homemade healthy meals that are enjoyed in the student bistro. The castle library and study centre provide a supportive environment to complete homework assignments or receive study assistance supervised by subject teachers and our educational support team. Our boarders share a double room and are looked after by our boarding parents, who are dedicated to creating a happy and safe home. The students can join a variety of activities offered during the weekends. All members of our boarding community treat each other with respect, honesty and tolerance.
Our alumni are accepted at universities throughout the world, including some of the top Netherlands research universities.
