EF Academy International Boarding Schools opens a world of opportunities for high school students by providing them with a superior secondary school education, thorough university preparation and access to a future that knows no borders. We believe in every student’s ability to succeed and we empower them to do so through our renowned curricula, as well as quality relationships with teachers and mentors. With a student body made up of 75 nationalities, multilingualism and intercultural exchange are built into every course and our students live the IB ethos every single day.
This IB World School is situated in the city of Oxford, renowned for its scholastic tradition and rich cultural and architectural heritage. EF Academy students join Oxford's vibrant academic community, which attracts leading scholars from around the world. Ten minutes from the city center, the campus has spacious classrooms, modern science labs and inviting lounges. Students also benefit from access to the library and sports center of nearby Oxford Brookes University. Students can live in on-campus residences with classmates and house parents, or they can stay with a local host family where they benefit from full immersion into British culture and language.
Education at EF Academy Oxford is highly individualized. Students follow the IB Diploma Programme and benefit from an enrichment program that includes visits to Oxford University lectures and laboratories. Our students are supported by faculty members who offer guidance on everything.
EF Academy Oxford graduates have gone on to attend universities such as the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University of St. Andrews and Durham University. All of our students receive acceptance to university degree programs, many for highly competitive courses such as Economics, Engineering or Medicine. Dedicated university advisors work together with students to help them prepare the best applications possible. This involves giving them feedback on their personal statements, holding mock interviews and exploring program options with them.
Students at EF Academy Oxford have access to a wide range of co-curricular activities. From subject-specific academic groups and competitions to sports and arts, there is an option for every student. The school's activities coordinator also arranges excursions for students on the weekends so they have the opportunity to experience the culture in and around Oxford and other parts of the UK.
