English and Bilingual Streams

Haut-Lac offers two parallel academic streams at all levels:

  • An English-only stream, ideal for families on short-term contracts in Switzerland or not seeking a bilingual education.
  • A French/English bilingual programme, taught by native-speaking teachers.
  • The students in the bilingual section study in English and French on alternate days.

IB Programmes and Results

  • IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11–16, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning.
  • IB Diploma Programme (DP), available in English, French, or bilingually, and recognised by leading universities worldwide.
  • Core components include the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Action, Service (CAS).
  • Outstanding IB results with a 100% pass rate, an average score of 35 points, and a maximum score of 45.
