Institut Montana was founded in 1926 by Dr Max Husmann. His humanist vision continues to guide us to help every student find their own individual path and thrive.

Our combination of small class sizes and individual support fosters a family atmosphere that builds up enthusiasm for learning and motivation to excel. Summer Sessions

Our summer school is about combining learning with fun. Intensive classes in English and German dramatically improve the language level, while exciting afternoon workshops bring learning to life. Students from all over the world join us every year for a summer adventure filled with outdoor activities on the beautiful Zugerberg.

Empowering Students

We want our students to grow into confident adults who will make the most of their life. Our extracurricular activities encourage them to pursue their passion, whether that is athletic, intellectual or cultural. Our students participate in athletic competitions, Model United Nations conferences, entrepreneurship programmes, theatre productions and more.
