At Institut Montana Switzerland, we believe every child has talent. Our mission is to nurture this talent.
Conveniently located in the heart of Switzerland
Located on the scenic Zugerberg, just above the vibrant city of Zug, Institut Montana Switzerland is a fully accredited Swiss and international day and boarding school. It hosts around 380 students from 55 nationalities, ranging in age from 6 to 19. It has been an official IB World School since 1987.
High-quality teaching and learning values
Students develop through the school's founding values: Internationalism, Individualism, Integration and Innovation. With dedicated teachers, small class sizes and high-quality teaching, the school provides the ideal environment for students to grow into strong, insightful and compassionate adults. Graduates continue their education at leading universities in Switzerland and internationally. The school places great emphasis on preparing students for the challenges of the future, ensuring they are well-equipped for life beyond school.
This is the Montana Learning Experience.
Swiss and international academic programmes
The school offers both Swiss academic pathways, accredited by the Canton of Zug, as well as internationally accredited programmes. The academic offerings include the Bilingual Primary School, Bilingual Secondary School, Swiss Gymnasium, Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP), Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and the High School or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for higher education
A passport to higher education worldwide, Institut Montana's IB Diploma Programme is structured to combine breadth and depth. It equips students with the understanding they need to become respectful, tolerant, global and digital citizens. They grow into enquiring, knowledgeable, lifelong learners.
Day and boarding school
The school welcomes boarding students from all over the world. They live in single or double rooms in one of the three boarding houses based on their age and gender.
Student well-being is a top priority in the classroom as well as in the school's boarding houses. The dedicated houseparents/staff provide round-the-clock care and support, ensuring a smooth transition to life away from home.
Summer Camp
Every year in July, Institut Montana welcomes children aged 9 to 15 to its beautiful Zugerberg campus for a two-week Summer Camp.
