Instituto Alberto Einstein (IAE), founded in 1955, is Panama's first Jewish day school and a co-educational institution serving students from Pre-Nursery through Grade 12. Rooted in Jewish values and a commitment to academic excellence, IAE offers a trilingual education in Spanish, English, and Hebrew, preparing students to become ethical, globally minded leaders.
As an IB World School, IAE delivers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), demonstrating its commitment to inquiry-based, student-centred learning from early childhood through adolescence. The school is currently a candidate for the IB Diploma Programme (DP), with the full IB continuum anticipated in 2026. Complementing the IB framework, IAE is accredited by Cognia/Torah Umesorah, strengthening its Judaic studies and ensuring high academic standards across all areas.
This integrated approach results in a holistic educational experience, offering rich opportunities in the arts, sciences, technology, entrepreneurship, and competitive athletics through the Titans Athletic Program. IAE's strong sense of community, anchored in our Jewish tradition, extends learning beyond the classroom through meaningful extracurricular experiences. These include whole-community events such as the annual theatre production, directed by one of Panama's leading theatre professionals and an IAE alumnus. Cultural identity is further nurtured through programs such as Talmud Torah, Zionism initiatives, and participation in the March of the Living.
IAE integrates the IB philosophy with a rigorous national curriculum, further enriched by Advanced Placement (AP) courses and a University Credit & Partnership Program (UCP), offered in collaboration with Oregon State University, the University of Louisville, and Arizona State University. This pathway allows students to earn college credits while in high school, experience the rigor and expectations of university-level classes, and gain understanding of what their next educational stage will entail. Ultimately, this pathway helps cultivate more autonomous, confident, and academically prepared learners.
With a 10:1 student-teacher ratio and over 160 faculty members, IAE ensures personalized attention, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and social responsibility. Graduates are accepted into leading universities across North America, Europe, Israel, and Latin America.
IAE's mission is to develop individuals who embrace their identity, think critically, and contribute responsibly to both local and global communities – honoring tradition while leading with innovation.
