- ISB Student

ISB is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational day school established in 1979. We are an IB World School offering the PYP, MYP and DP programmes for children 3-19 years old, in English and in English/German in Junior School. ISB offers students a broad and holistic programme, including a strong academic curriculum blended with a wide range of co-curricular activities to allow every student to follow their passion and develop their unique talent.

We believe that true education neither ends nor begins in the classroom alone. Our vision is to prepare students to flourish and impact their world, by providing them with positive and satisfying learning experiences, and helping them develop a deeper purpose to serve something greater than themselves.

ISB is an inclusive and non-selective school, with students and teachers coming from all corners of the world, creating a diverse and inclusive community. We live our Mission every day in every area of the school, as it reminds us to appreciate our learning differences, help each other out, and in our quest for excellence, find a way to make it fun and engaging.

Campuses

Our three campuses, located on the outskirts of the city of Basel, provide students with world-class learning opportunities. An efficient public transport system and convenient pedestrian and bicycle paths ensure easy access to ISB campuses. Age-appropriate and supportive learning environments encourage students' potential and nurture their talents at all stages of intellectual, physical and emotional development, providing them with the means to grow and thrive.

Inclusion

At ISB, every student is unique and so is the way they learn. ISB embraces equity, diversity and inclusion, not only in gender, race or culture, but also in the learning profiles of our students. We align student needs with appropriate resources and the individual support they need to develop their individual strengths and areas for growth.
