Teaching and learning at International School Brescia is about preparing our students in a global community to have the skills, the knowledge and the capacity to problem solve that will enable them to meet the challenges of the future. With a strong emphasis on developing the IB Learner Profile, and by learning through inquiry, action and reflection our students acquire in-depth knowledge and become deep thinkers.

ISB is a co-educational private day school located close to Lake Garda in the province of Brescia, Italy. Founded in 2009 we are a fully authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

ISB offers our students the best possible international education in a supportive and inclusive, caring environment. Principled IB learners are honest and fair and take responsibility for their own learning and actions and our students are guided to act with integrity.

Our open-minded and respectful culture encourages the whole school community to contribute to the teaching and learning in school and this collaboration and involvement makes our school a very welcoming and special place to learn.

Our student body is made up of around 22 nationalities and we cultivate a truly international outlook whilst fostering knowledge and experience of our host country, Italy. English is our language of instruction, and we provide support for those students joining us, who have limited knowledge, to be communicators.

In addition to delivering the IB subjects, our balanced curriculum provides many opportunities for extra-curricular experiences such as workshops, field trips, sporting exchanges and international travel. We support out of school interests and commitments and motivate our students to be active members of the community.

As ISB grows and develops we continue to reflect on our practices and to participate in the wider IB world community to produce a positive impact on student learning outcomes.
