Welcome from International School Ho Chi Minh City
Founded in 1993, ISHCMC was established to provide high quality education to children aged 2-18 years of expatriate families in Vietnam. As the first IB World School in Ho Chi Minh City we have been innovating through a mix of pedagogy, curriculum, facilities and opportunities beyond the classroom for over 30 years.
Our community represents a culturally diverse group of families and teachers from over 60 countries and is brought together by a common purpose to inspire wellbeing and learning so that our diverse, internationally-minded community flourish as energized, engaged and empowered learners.
Our Curriculum
As one of the few IB Continuum schools in Vietnam, ISHCMC offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Through the IB curriculum, students construct understandings and knowledge of their world through personalized learning experiences and inquiries that develop a deep understanding of important concepts in global contexts.
ISHCMC has a rich history or academic success with students' examination results consistently surpassing the global average. A 100% pass rate in the IB Diploma programme, sees students typically receiving their first or second choice university, which are among the best in the world.
At ISHCMC, teaching and learning is guided by our Principles of Learning. They inform planning and, in the very best teaching, 'interleave' together to give the impression of classroom learning, which is smooth, consistent, immersive, and sustained. Our teachers are well qualified, experienced, care about their students and build positive relationships to ensure students reach their full potential. Both our campuses offer a great opportunity for student learning through technologically advanced classrooms, collaborative learning spaces and student study areas. Unique facilities help to prepare our students for the realities of the 21st-century commercial world. These include an Information & Media Center, a professional theater, recording studios, design suites, music practice rooms, NBA-size basketball court, rooftop sports field, 25m 8-lane pool, food tech and science labs.
