Having celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, the International School of London (ISL) is an established International Baccalaureate (IB) World School with an integrated home language programme for over 20 languages, delivering educational excellence for ages 3-18. Our school has earned a global reputation as a highly successful IB school and is widely recognised as one of the UK's best international schools.

We offer an exceptional world of learning for every student. Starting with a genuinely warm welcome to our multicultural environment from our award-winning Transitions team, we work with each child to devise an individual learning programme tailored to their unique needs and goals. Our focus on student wellbeing, in a supportive environment, is complemented in the classroom by dynamic teaching practises. It's this approach that we believe leads to the academic and personal success that characterises ISL pupils.

We are a culturally diverse community. Students' cultural and linguistic identities are valued and nurtured through our curriculum and unique home language programme, that is embedded into the timetable. Our school develops the attitudes, skills and understanding needed to shape responsible, creative citizens of both local and global communities.

ISL has high academic standards, offering three IB programmes: the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. These align to the unique developmental needs of students from nursery through to pre-university.

Located adjacent to the beautiful Gunnersbury Park, all primary students attend daily Forest School, year-round. We are committed to intercultural education, extending our students’ learning beyond the confines of the classroom and into both the park and the wonderfully rich culture of London. With our fantastic new Sports Hub, local astroturf pitches and tennis courts we offer students a huge variety of sports activities, alongside many opportunities in service learning and the arts that challenge our students to grow and develop, through innovative, inter-disciplinary projects that stretch minds and encourage curiosity. The breadth and depth of our programmes ensure our graduates are prepared for life at leading universities worldwide, as well as for exciting futures across the spectrum of careers.

ISL is a relatively small school with a distinct family atmosphere, giving a voice to all members of our community, with active parent groups and a committed student government. Students at ISL develop a keen sense of inter-cultural understanding, greatly valued in our globalised world. ISL actively celebrates this diversity throughout the year in class activities and whole school events.
