The International School of Toulouse (IST) is an IB World School. It opened in 1999 with only 153 students, and now has approximately 500 students from the age of 2 years 6 months to 18, and from over thirty nationalities.

About Us

IST has been an IB World School since January 2000, offering both the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme of the IB. The school also prepares students for IGCSE qualifications during secondary school. IST gained full accreditation by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in June 2011 with reaccreditation taking place in 2026.

IST was awarded its Eco School silver status in 2025 and in October 2025 we were exceptionally proud to be awarded the OPAL (Outdoor Play And Learning) Platinum school award.

The school has a strong academic record with alumni receiving places at many prestigious universities around the world.

Our teaching is rooted in our mission and five core values: creativity, curiosity, integrity, resilience and above all, each other. This provides an environment where our students can thrive and reach their full potential, leaving IST equipped with the essential qualities and skills they need to navigate, with confidence, a constantly changing world.

At IST, our students are at the centre of all that we do.

The Campus

The International School of Toulouse is located on a four-hectare site in the town of Colomiers on the western edge of Toulouse. It is a 20-minute drive from Toulouse city centre. IST provides a spacious and stimulating environment with two libraries, science labs, dedicated spaces for art, music and drama, design & technology and an auditorium. Our sports facilities include a large gymnasium and a synthetic multi-sport pitch. We also have a canteen with onsite kitchen facilities.
