Working together with Southern International School and Northern International School.

In 1981 Mrs. Estela María Irrera de Pallaro and her husband Andrés Pallaro founded a kindergarten in a lovely house situated in O'Higgins St. in Belgrano, which was later to become Islands International School. Some years later, as a result of hard work, clear objectives and true commitment, a primary school was opened in a spacious building situated in Virrey del Pino and Arcos St. In 1988, a secondary school was opened with a curriculum based on the latest, most prestigious syllabi in Argentina and the whole world. The new building situated in Amenábar St. offered our students appropriate facilities and modern equipment to meet the highest educational standards.

From the beginning, our aim has been to present our students with a demanding curriculum while emphasizing the values of hard work, effort and commitment. The outstanding achievements of our alumni both in college and later on in their jobs are irrefutable proof of our success.

In 1990 Islands embraced a new challenge by joining the International Baccalaureate Organization, a well known association of schools seeded in Geneva, Switzerland whose main objective is to foster the students' skills so that they can perform successfully in an increasingly demanding academic world and expanding job market. Furthermore, it is essential that our students should acquire full command of the languages taught at our school: Spanish, English and Italian.

By getting an IB diploma our students can also get the "Maturità Linguistica o Scientifica", which is a diploma issued by the Government of Italy at the end of secondary school and which grants students admission to European Universities.

Our school emphasizes the values of respect and hard work as the main tools, which will enable our students to achieve success. Islands International School provides students with quality education, which comprises the latest technological breakthroughs and the practice of human and social values.
