The establishment of the French-Qatari school Voltaire was the result of the Qatari authorities' commitment to providing education for young people of various nationalities, including French and Qatari students, in accordance with the core principles of the French educational system and its curriculum. This initiative respects the national specificities outlined by the Supreme Council of Education in Qatar, particularly in areas such as the teaching of the Arabic language, Qatar history and Islamic religion for Muslim students.

The French-Qatari school Voltaire, which welcomes nearly 1,700 students from 30 different nationalities, stands out as a model of education with a truly global perspective. It celebrates the diversity of identities that make up its student body, advocating for a culture of inclusion and intercultural respect. It is a place where the world comes together to learn and grow.

Our school is affiliated with the network of schools approved by the French Ministry of National Education and Youth. It is a partner school of the agency for French education abroad (AEFE). Additionally, it is part of the UNESCO network of affiliated schools, a member of the CIS network of schools and affiliated to Qatar Foundation.

Since September 2022, the French-Qatari school Voltaire is offering the prestigious IBDP programme in French, with a significant focus on the teaching of Arabic language. The International Baccalaureate IB represents an exceptional opportunity for French speaking students, whether they originate from Voltaire school or other schools in Qatar. This is because the IBDP diploma is widely recognized by numerous universities and higher education institutions across the globe. Attaining this esteemed diploma will open up new academic avenues for our students, both within Qatar and abroad.

In the academic year 2022-2023, all of our baccalaureate students achieved a 100% success rate. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our educational teams.

The slogan of Voltaire school, "Two civilizations, 3 languages," continues to serve as the guiding principle for our educational teams and the families who entrust their children to our institution.
