The Modern Montessori School (MMS) aims to provide a rich and stimulating environment where children can develop to their full potential. Understanding and appreciating the differences that make every student unique, each child is valued as an independent thinker and encouraged to make choices on his or her own.

Our system of personalised education encourages every student to develop his or her own talent, to respect the differences in others, and to be a respectable member of a community, thus achieving the finest possible holistic education. This aims to instil a pride in accomplishments, providing the students with the confidence needed to use their abilities to the fullest and enabling them to define and achieve success in college, career and, above all, in life.

To this end, the IB Diploma Programme at MMS is designed largely to cater for the needs of individuals, rather than for the collective needs of a group; our subject menu is varied and enjoys a degree of flexibility, which in turn allows students to choose the subjects that appeal to their different learning preferences and future university courses.

Furthermore, MMS has devised an extracurricular, three- level award scheme, which has the IB CAS perched atop its golden level. The Amin Hasan Award (AHA) provides students from grade 6-10 with the ability to participate in enjoyable yet beneficial and thought-provoking activities. This non- academic aspect of their education is extremely valuable in the overall development of the whole child, as it fosters a sense of compassion, teamwork, and mutual respect among students, in addition to promoting the principles of model citizenship and the importance of solidarity and togetherness among people, irrespective of their ethnic, religious, or gender differences. One of the many AHA activities was having students work together to meet the challenge of scaling Jordan's highest peak.

At MMS, we also believe in the inherent ability of each student to achieve distinction. This is why our LEAD Department (inclusive assessment) works hand-in-hand with administrators, programme coordinators, and teachers to cater for students who have special learning needs, through the application of an inclusion programme.

We also believe that cooperation between home and school is required to ensure the personal and intellectual development of each student. Consequently, we have designed an e-school portal where both parents and students are kept up-to-date with everything they need from report cards and academic calendars to forums and e-learning material.

As a PYP/MYP accredited school, the MMS prepares students through a devised preparation programme and curricula that will ultimately expose students to the IB continuum of international education.

The Modern Montessori School is accredited by the International Centre for Montessori Education (ICME), Cambridge and Edexcel International Examinations' syndicates and is an authorised IB World School. In addition, MMS has recently acquired membership from the Council of International Schools (CIS).
