As the first and only full, not-for-profit IB World School in Bangkok, NIST International School offers a world-class education to students from the early years to high school levels. Established in 1992 with the guidance and support of the United Nations, the school now welcomes over 1,760 students representing more than 76 nationalities. NIST is governed by the parent-elected NIST International School Foundation and was the first school in Thailand to receive triple accreditation through the Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA).

Recognized worldwide for its progressive approach and international scope, the IB framework provides students with critical 21st century skills that align to the demands of the modern workplace. Through the IB and its own unique programmes, NIST aims to inspire, empower and enrich lives. The academic structure encourages students to explore, take risks and make connections across disciplines. Student-driven service learning plays a central role, as they learn to understand and empathize with others, and take an active role in solving local, national and global issues. NIST also partners with other top schools around the globe to offer the Global Citizen Diploma, an optional qualification that allows graduates to showcase strengths in leadership, service and community engagement.

In addition to its rigorous academics, NIST offers an expansive World Languages Programme and over 300 extra-curricular activity options. As one of the founding members of the Southeast Asia Student Activity Conference (SEASAC), the NIST Falcons compete against their peers from other top schools in Southeast Asia, as well as students around the globe. NIST has also committed itself to excellence and innovation in the use of technology. Students benefit from personal MacBook Air computers, iPads, a completely wireless campus, SMART Boards, the FrontRow classroom amplification system, and LCD-equipped classrooms.

NIST represents the future of learning through its stellar academic achievements and expansive resources. More importantly, the school has been successful in fostering reflective, principled learners with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. With its graduates attending the best universities around the globe and going on to become community leaders, NIST has become recognized as one of the world’s leading international schools.
