Qatar Academy Al Wakra (QAW) is a premier private international school in Qatar, and a Member of Qatar Foundation, a world-class organization dedicated to building excellent educational institutions in Qatar and around the world.

Qatar Academy Al Wakra was established to serve the needs of the rapidly growing Al Wakra coastal community and surrounding areas in the southern region of Qatar. QAW serves over 1200 students from pre-school to Grade 12. QAW is an IB World School fully authorized for PYP, MYP and DP and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Council of International Schools.

Through an educational model that enables learning in two languages, encourages innovation, and develops a strong code of ethics, QAW has been nurturing students to become leaders in their communities. The talented faculty at QAW go above and beyond to cultivate the spirit of discovery and creativity in students' learning experiences. QAW teachers and administrators are highly collaborative, energetic, and supportive team players who are passionate about working with children and making a difference.

The school moved into its new, state-of-the-art, purpose-built campus in September 2018. Facilities include sports and recreational spaces, swimming pools, a 450-seat theater, music and art studios, and well-equipped science, technology, engineering, art, mechanics, and food technology laboratories.

Learning at QAW is further enhanced through the variety of opportunities available through the vast network of Qatar Foundation, from experiential programs to athletics and community services that enable students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and culturally grounded environment.
