Qatar Academy Al Wakra (QAW) was established to serve the needs of the rapidly growing Al Wakra coastal community and surrounding areas in the south of Qatar. It serves over 1100 students from preschool to Grade 10 and is continuing to expand by one grade level each year. Through an educational model that enables learning in two languages, encourages innovation, and develops a strong code of ethics, QAW has been nurturing students to become leaders in their communities. The talented faculty at QAW go above and beyond to cultivate the spirit of discovery and creativity in students' learning experiences.
QAW teachers and administrators are highly collaborative, energetic, and supportive team players who are passionate about working with children and making a difference. The school moved into its new, state-of-the-art, purpose-built campus in September 2018. Facilities include sports and recreational areas, swimming pools, a 450-seat theater with music and art studios, and well-equipped science, technology, engineering, art, mechanics, and food technology laboratories.
