QSI International School of Shenzhen is a private, nonprofit preschool through Secondary IV co-ed, college-preparatory, day school. It was founded in 2001 to provide a quality education in English for the children of expatriates in Shenzhen. The school is part of Quality Schools International, a consortium of nonprofit international college-preparatory schools with American style curriculum. It is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and is a member of the East Asian Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS).

QSI International School of Shenzhen believes in a personalized approach to instruction leading to mastery of clearly defined objectives within a positive and enjoyable learning environment. It offers a challenging academic curriculum for students age 2 through Secondary IV and utilizes the Mastery Learning model of instruction. This model results in students learning more information compared to traditional school methods in which students receive a percentage grade and then move on. As a Mastery Learning school, we care about our students mastering 100% of their course content because we believe that any gaps in learning, if left unchecked, turn into deficits, difficulties, and frustrations in learning in the future. Therefore, QSI teachers work with students until all course content is mastered and allow students to use time as a resource, instead of a limiting factor, in their classroom.

Success for All is the motto of Quality Schools International. Research indicates that successful people have developed personal orientations that lead to success, and these character traits are at least as important as the knowledge one learns and the competencies one gains through classroom instruction. The Success Orientations are actively encouraged and taught in virtually all areas of the QSI school curriculum with the view of making them a vital part of one's life pattern. QSI promotes trustworthiness, responsibility, aesthetic appreciation, concern for others, kindness and politeness, independent endeavor, and group interaction as character traits that are necessary for personal success beyond the classroom.

QSI International School of Shenzhen is proud to participate in the IB Diploma Programme and continues to offer one of the top IB programs in the area. With scores consistently higher than the world average, our graduates are well-prepared for success at university, and joined with QSI's holistic approach to education our graduates are also prepared for success in life.
