The Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) allows high achieving students to develop skills through leading edge curriculum and links with the University of Queensland and other leading universities. QASMT offers an enriched program to enhance development of students with an interest and ability in the related fields of Science, Mathematics and Technology.

Students achieve outstanding academic results with a proven record in attaining offers to some of the most prestigious universities throughout the world. Underpinning our academic success is an outstanding pastoral care system supporting every student and helping each one to feel a vital part of the QASMT 'family'. Student welfare is implemented through a Mentor Program ensuring all students achieve their potential. We believe in the importance of guiding students to become responsible and caring individuals, who are sensitive, open-minded and respectful of all cultures. QASMT aims to develop tomorrow's leaders; individuals who will be internationally minded citizens.

We provide a valuable transition from senior school to university for highly capable students from Years 7 to 12 (International student intakes Years 10-12 only). Teachers and students enjoy flexible learning spaces that support innovative teaching practice and embed elements of personalised learning. Spaces are designed to reflect the type of learning that takes place. Students and teachers work collaboratively and respectfully together.

We develop students' abilities to research, investigate and reflect on local and global matters. The relationship of the students and teachers is based on intellectual challenge and interdependent inquiry.

Students who graduate from QASMT enjoy careers in new science fields such as Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, as well as established fields like Health Sciences, Engineering, Chemical Sciences, Robotics, Neuroscience, ICT and The Arts.

Our facilities are world standard. The addition of a new STEM Precinct and Languages Precinct opening for the commencement of 2020 provides further dynamic use and enhancement of our learning environments. Students enjoy the benefits of working in wireless learning spaces with computer network access from all work and recreation areas. In addition we have virtual classrooms; an observatory; extensive recreational and sporting facilities, including a gymnasium, full size volleyball and basketball courts, tennis courts and sports ovals. A central HUB of the school is our new and stylish Student Precinct, providing innovative learning and maker spaces, quiet individual study spaces and learning areas with up to date e-resources. Students also enjoy the contemporary university style lecture theatre and large auditorium, plus well - equipped music and art rooms.

QASMT is located at 78 Bywong Street, Toowong, Brisbane; a convenient 10 minute drive from Brisbane CBD with excellent access to both train and bus public transport.
