This world-class institution is the largest school in New Zealand with over 3000 students, and is perhaps the most internationally acclaimed New Zealand school. Rangitoto's success is the result of expert teaching in a wide range of academic subjects and extensive extra-curricular opportunities including music, dance, drama and over 40 different sports. The facilities, passionate staff and culture of excellence inspire students to become the best they can be.

Rangitoto has a focus on diversity and has around 50 different nationalities in the school. Our IB students have been accepted into some of the world's best universities, including Cambridge and Oxford in the UK, and Princeton in the USA.

Rangitoto College is located on the beautiful, safe North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. The school is close to beaches, parks, shops and cinemas, and is about 25 minutes from downtown.

Rangitoto College has some of the best facilities in the Southern Hemisphere including: modern classrooms, a library and information centre featuring senior study and reading rooms, computer access for all students, an auditorium, an Olympic standard all weather hockey turf, three gymnasiums and a weights room, an all-weather athletics track, five sports fields. A purpose built Science block with laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Electronics. An English block featuring television and film studios and drama rooms, a music block with practice and performance space. A new dance studio with sprung floor, and a large modern swimming pool and sports institute on the school boundary.

Rangitoto College has been hosting international students for over 15 years and we have developed excellent systems to help students adapt to life in a new country. First language support is available for Korean, Chinese and Spanish speaking students.

A dedicated team of non-teaching and teaching staff, the IB Diploma co-ordinator and a Deputy Principal takes care of our IB students, meeting with them regularly to check they are doing well academically and personally.
